DWS closes two Vaal sluice gates

The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) has closed two sluice gates at the Vaal dam, reducing water outflow. Over the past week, the department opened eight sluice gates at the dam, increasing outflow to 1 097 mᵌ/s, to manage water outflows amid heavy rainfall in Gauteng and Mpumalanga.
